Hi guys, talking about this...

How can I know the correct romset was used (ie: Genesis and A2600 games recorded on WolfMESS)? Goodxxx features are a good idea to name/check my ones?

Despite this doubt, and considering the overall rules as the same as MARP confirmers rules, can I be a confirmer?

PS.: Chad told me I am a HARP veteran Wink

yeah this is really the hard part about confirming harp games, once there are fixed mess software names this may be less of a problem but right now we mostly depend on goodxxx names. Most of the time if there are multiple name possibilities that have changed between good versions or the harp name is ambiguous between them, we give the crc in the harp info page/link (you can see the crc in most archives including zip) and this can usually confirm which software to be using to confirm the game.

talk to gb9 to be a confirmer, i'm sure he won't object.

MESS has had fixed software lists since 0.138, but Nate keeps forgetting to include the lists themselves. You can grab the latest lists anytime from http://git.redump.net/. HARP supports lists for the Neo Geo AES currently, and I think the Neo Geo Pocket lists are based on GoodNGPx, as it is for HARP, so those should be easy also.
