So... riddle me this:
How is it that I get one time value at the end of a recording, yet another person gets another time value? Like... 10% longer than what I get?

Something to ponder this stormy weekend...

The timer stops when the INP ends, either by exiting MESS, for by reaching the end of playback. Someone probably pushed ESC a bit too early, perhaps?

yeah that's me, programming wise AND utilization wise. in 138 it will NOT report a playback time if you press ESC to early, and i'll try not to do this with <138 confirmations. I'm also thinking of if pressing F3 during recording, not only will it stop the recording but give you the recorded time, so people won't be putting in 0:0:0 all the time. They should be able to see the time at the end of the recording on screen even if they are using the gui.

And for the site, can you PLEASE put in a parse field that takes a string like (02:01.23) and enters the time in the harp entry? Much easier to cut and paste from the console than looking at 4 numbers and typing into 3 fields.

Mmmmm... I don't think I clarified it too well. I'll see a time at recording completion of 4 minutes... while the recorder will see a time at recording completion of... say... 4 minutes, 20 seconds. That happens a lot... I wonder why that is...

I think when that happens it's estimation (or not reporting precision), or actually trying to measure game time not playback time.
