It's me vs. MJS and Negative1 vs. Mahlemiut in the first round. Oh... playing against MJS on his choice... yeah, I'm toast... LOL!

No you aren't! I have played it a lot but back when I was 7-8 years old :D

OK - worse, it looks like this game is IMPOSSIBLE to pick up somewhere... ugh.

This games is freely available, you can download it from:
ftp://whtech.com/emulators/cartridge_images/rpk/cartridges/parsec.rpk

Manual of the game here: (read the "controlling your ship" section at least)
http://www.videogamehouse.net/parsec.txt

By the way, we need to add TI-99/4A Regulation Play and please grant me the rights to add games, thank you!

@Barry: If I was able to find it on Google, I wouldn't have written that I needed help finding it. :)

@MJS: OK, how do I load the game on MESS? That seems to be the impossible part.

-cart1 <path to rpk file> should do the trick.

Or for the individual ROMs, -cart1 <path to CROM> -cart2 <path to GROM>

Either way will work.

played about 20 times..

40500 , stage 2 ..

stupid dramites, and photon missiles!

almost impossible to refuel.
movement is to jerky...

watched replays on youtube to get
an idea .. i've never played this game before..

basically you make sure your lasers don't overheat..
shoot in bursts..

**** JUST uploaded my input, said it was ok,
but doesn't show up in the search or uploads?

I've only got to 32,900 so far Sad
Refuelling isn't so bad, just have to be slow and careful. Set speed to 1, it helps a lot.
It's everything else that irritates me, especially those enemies that turn invisible after shooting them twice, and that it's hard to hit stuff. Setting speed to 2 helps a bit, but I feel the movement is then a bit too slow for dodging anything. And the overheating laser. And anything that fire photon missiles. And asteroids.

The games chosen are:
Round 1 = Parsec - TI/99
Round 2 = Mega Man 4 - Fastest First Stage - NES
Finals Game 1 = Lightning Force - Genesis
Finals Game 2 = Tetris Attack - Vs. Mode - SNES

Hey gb9 now that I think about it, wasn't it going to be 2 simultaneous games per week?

Why did we pick 2 only for the finals?

theres some bad collision detection at the top left corner
of the screen.. sometimes if you're pressing up, you
will crash for no reason ... it says you're hitting the ground!!

oh yeah, now i can refuel, and it messes up the
rest of my timing....

also, the speed changes help for some parts, but
if you forget to change back, its easier to die!!!

arghhh..
