As mentioned in the Speccy Tour 2005 forum, I programmed the percentage leaderboard algorithim for tournaments that want to use it.

I also added an "Edit Profile" function. Finally, right Chad? Smile

Any chance of adding Wales (CYM) as a country so I can get my profile right? Very Happy

How's about fixing screenshot uploading? For whatever reason, I can't upload a screenshot for Shinobi, although it always says "Screenshot upload successful". It looks like it's uploading it to the wrong folder.

OK - I removed the Confirmation and Editing links for each recording, and replaced that with a Utilities function, combining the two functions.

... and a new deletion function... but only supereditors have the right to do any of those, of which I'm the only supereditor... for now...

Just so you know, the game list search isn't working anymore. It just brings up 0 results. The normal search still works fine.

DRN: That problem should be fixed now.

MASSIVE improvements to the game information feature:

- Statistics are now added... Sums and averages of score, lengths of recordings, stages, and leaderboard points.
- Number of lead changes are added
- Yellow cell blocks were added to the submission log to indicate that a particular recording was a 1st place recording at the time of the submission.
- Grey lines to indicate inactive recordings were added to easily clarify the difference between inactive and active recordings.

Oh, BTW now that we talk about the info page. I think the game screens there looks very unclear. Can you fix that?

That's it from me. I'm of too a family birthday for the whole day Sad

Yeah that's because the picture is twice the normal size. Chad and I are planning on making enhanced pictures for that page in the future.

Also... ALL EDITORS: I changed the timing part of the edit screen... so you can enter the hours, minutes, and seconds (with two-digit decimal precision, if you'd like) for a recording... instead of just the seconds.

Hope that will help things out.

time granularity is nice, also if there are any tips and tricks to timing a recording that would be nice to document, is really the only way to just look at the clock and measure start and stop times?

Yeah the Info Page pic will be a bit blurry until we get together on how to get better quality pictures uploadable.

Comment on the Info Page: can it be sorted by Activeness then Rank instead of Time, or selectable? I like being able to see the order of recordings sorted by score rather than by the time they were uploaded, like marp?

I know of only two systems that have tricks... one is the NES, the other is the genesis, and they both involve the frame counters. The genesis is better because they have minutes and seconds already on there... the NES just has the frame counter.

The NES has a frame-by-frame advance to make the timing really specific... the genesis has a 3% speed feature, which also helps the timing be really specific. I think the Gameboy emulators have the same features as the NES though.

The SNES you can time the time before the start of the game and after the end of the game and whiz through the middle to get an accurate figure.

Other than that, you have to go to the watch to the best of my knowledge.

Hi Pete

Seen your maintainance work. I'm off to my one week holiday but just wanted to say this:

1. When choosing a tournament, all emulators comes up also those not useable for that tournament. Is that right? Some might get confused Smile

2. The 'Scores' link on the 'Game List' pages doesn't work.

Bye.
