Spectrum titles are hosted here at http://zxspectrum.homeactionreplay.org - the Download Snapshots link... Wait, errm... yeah, Where is Rainbow Islands?
Ugh, Rainbow Islands against Valter?!?! Oh dear, I think I'm out in round one. _________________ Barthax

I just nagged Frankie on another thread to take a look into the Rainbow Islands issue.
And you're not "out" in round one... you'll still have the elimination semis in Thunder and Lightning... |

I highly doubt I can make it to the finals, but just want to let you know gb9 that I'm ok with replacing Break In (MSX) with any other games on my list because there is one break-out style game already.
Good luck everybody! |

I know the spectrum ones are hosted here, well supposed to be anyway
It's the games for the other systems I need to get my hands on. |

Any reason FUSE is not in the emulator list?
Also, WolfMESS 0.142 seems to have a problem with Raindbow Islands - the emulation freezes on the first death in 128K mode and simply doesn't even begin the snapshot with 48k mode. _________________ Barthax

I guess FUSE could be on there... but I wouldn't know where to start with replaying/playing with that emulator... |

Either way, the championships have begun! Submissions now legal until Saturday, June 25 at 2359 GMT. Tournament recordings are found in a separate uploads page, found on the last row of the header of each page.
You can also click on this link: http://www.homeactionreplay.org/search.php?mode=tourneyuploads |

I run on Linux & wherever a native emulator can be used for competition, I will. I'd be using a native WolfMESS but I can't get the diffs to patch. :(
Spectaculator running in WINE has some fairly horrid display issues (but not as bad as Windows VICE!). FUSE outputs RZX files anyway (with competition mode correctly signed when compiled with gcrypt). Playback should therefore work in Spectaculator & Real Spectrum. _________________ Barthax

Barthax please contact me about the diffs, if there are problems i will fix them! i think they worked at least right before i uploaded them |
Something wrong with my patch most likely, not the diff. Thanks for the offer (taken to PM). _________________ Barthax

So...I'm having a little trouble getting these Spectrum emulators to work. The problems with WolfMESS and the Rainbow Islands snapshot has already been mentioned. I tried using the Windows version of FUSE and Spectactulator (both 5.3 and 7.51) to record in, but both of them break right away saying that the emulation is too slow to record in comp mode (even though I have a pretty powerful computer). Accessing the menu in FUSE slows down the emulation, but I can't start the recording unless I get into the menu. What gives!?
I'm running Windows 7 32-bit, by the way. |

Windows 7? I wonder if you have to run it in administrator mode. That's usually the first thing I come up with in that operating system. |
