I vote neither, cuz I have never tried Speccy at all. Who can remember that buzzing sound on old 56k dial up modem? :P

haha old 56k modem, i was happy go from 1200 to 2400. yeah the modem noise wins this round of music emulations.

Ah, but a) it's not typically used for "music", and b) you can usually switch the volume off.

Not sure about the Spectrum, but for PCs, there is no volume control whatsoever for the internal speaker.
